April 8, 2015 – Update for Ice Fishing

Things are pretty much wrapping up for ice fishing.  Although there’s still plenty of ice in most cases, we are not seeing fishermen out there.  It’s that in-between time of the year when it’s a little scarey heading out there on the ice.  Some of the shorelines are opening a bit, and it’s better to be safe than sorry.  We are alternating from spring weather to inches of heavy wet snow and freezing rain.  It’s kind of that “muddy season” here.  But rest assured it won’t be long before the ice really starts to break up, and panfishing will be available again.  Walleye, northern, and musky season  opens on May 15, and that’s just around the corner now.  Bass are catch and release with an open season starting on May 23 this year.

If you’re thinking of an early spring fishing trip, give us a call now.  We have openings for the opener yet as well as many weeks throughout the busy season yet.  It’s an awesome time to start planning now that we have all our confirmations in and know for sure what is available for 2015 at this time.  Please view each home’s page to see what is available as of right now, or just give us a call at 906-358-4390 (or my cell at 715-360-6650).  We’ll be happy to help plan your upcoming vacation to the beautiful northwoods.

Thanks for visiting our website, and we hope to see you soon.  Happy Spring!!!

Carole
