Our fishermen are reporting very good fishing over the weekend. Crappies and bluegills have been nice sized and in good numbers. Bass season doesn’t open until May 23, but the bass are biting, too, and making for some fun fishing. I talked to others today that also had really good fishing for crappies as well as walleye. There were reports of really nice perch being taken, too. What a great start to the spring fishing season!
Today brought a cold front with predictions of not only rain showers but also snow showers tonight. We’ve had some drizzle, but no snow yet tonight. If that stays away, we’ll all be extra happy!
