Our snowmobile trails are in at least very good shape right now thanks to the great groomers in the U. P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club of Watersmeet. Last weekend with all the traffic of a long weekend and with warm temperatures, our excellent trails took a hit. Six-hour grooming runs took ten hours due to the amount of the traffic! Since that time with colder temps and way less traffic, they have the trails back in great shape. It’s an awesome time to come up and enjoy all that our area has to offer.
The cross-country ski trails are in terffic shape, too. Sylvania Outfitters keeps his trails groomed and the Sylvania trails skied. Being in the deeper woods, they aren’t as affected by the warmer weather and heavy traffic. They are super and will be for a long time this winter!
To go along with the great trails, we would like to invite you to spend the time off your sleds in one of our super homes. We are located on Thousand Island Lake on the beautiful Cisco Chain. We have plenty of easy parking and are on an access trail to the main trails. Many people love to take the lake to the main trail, too, so you have two ways to get to the main trails that head in every direction here. We invite you to check out our homes here on our website. We have been offering rates around $35 per person per night plus tax (minimum number per home) and can even offer rates as low as $25 if your group includes ten people or more!!! We have some great amenities: double whirlpool tubs, Vermont Castings woodstoves, washers and dryers, full kitchens, two living rooms, two baths, satellite TV, etc. and plenty of room to spread out! And you don’t have to stay a whole week, but you will wish you could!!! We have both regular and super premium gas right here, too.
