Area Report:

Hi Everyone ~

I keep up a snowmobile report up on the Watersmeet Chamber of Commerce website and at www.snowtracks.com.  I finally decided it would be nice to put this on our own website!!!  I’m thinking it’s good to get older and wiser!  LOL!  Here’s the update for January 12, 2017 with all the great new snow we just got:

In the past 24 hours we have received at least another 10 to 12″ of snow.  Blowing and drifting helped pack all that great snow in.  There were whiteout conditions but today the sun is shining and the full moon tonight will have the woods glowing as well.  We now have a base of about 18″ and all trails are deemed in very good to excellent condition!!!  Our U. P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club continues to groom daily and has the trails in great shape.  Our trails include Trail 3 North, Trail 3 South to Wisconsin, Trail 2 East and West, and Trail 3 South.   Temperatures tonight will get down to 12 to 16 below zero, so please be careful out there.

Life is good in the Northwoods!  Come on up!  We have openings throughout the winter, so give us a call at 906-358-4390.  You can call my cell or text at 715-360-6650 also.  Our homes can accommodate from one to fifteen people in one home.  Our homes run from $109 to $203 per night plus taxes if you are staying for a week (for four to six people consecutively).  Nightly rates run more per night, but more people added means less cost per person.  These are beautiful housekeeping homes on the lake with lots of amenities!  Please check them out here on our website.  We are located on an access trail that connects the Watersmeet trails with the Land O’ Lakes trails, so you can snowmobile from your door to sled two states.  Access across Thousand Island Lake and Cisco Lake shortcuts you to the Watersmeet trails if you like traversing the lakes.  Super premium unleaded and regular gas are right here at our home/office, too.

We have great accommodations here on Thousand Island Lake on the Cisco Chain just four miles north of the Wisconsin border.  We are in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan where the snow gets deeper and the trails are super!  Snowmobile sales and services are available right here!  Good food, trail permits, gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores, other shopping and services are here!

You’ll love the beauty of the area and all it has to offer.  We hope to see you real soon!  Thank you.

Carole
