WATERSMEET SNOWMOBILE TRAILS REPORT

Hi Everyone ~

This sure has started out as an awesome snow year!  Our trails were groomed for the first time as soon as hunting season was over on December 1, 2019.  It was so nice to go by and see the groomer leaving the barn and heading out!  No waiting this year for that 12″ of good snow that sometimes takes too long to get here.  This year we started out with a bang with two huge heavy snowfalls right before and right after Thanksgiving…over 2′ of heavy wet trail building snow!  And more has continued right along.  A little rain was an unwelcome visitor a couple of times, but it probably worked in a positive way to give us a better base.  It continued to snow, and our last snow a week or so ago was another one that piled up a foot of nice heavy snow.  Not only is it great sledding, but it sure is beautiful to boot!

Our U. P. Thunder Riders have been doing an awesome job and are grooming daily.  Our trails are in very good to excellent condition.  All the water areas on our trails are gone.  It is an awesome time to come up, and we have openings instantly right now!

Trail #3 from the Wisconsin border to Watersmeet is very good.  Watersmeet to Paulding is very good.  There are two logging projects on this trail, one north of Forest Road 5250 (Trail 150) and the other is north of Bond Falls Road.  Please use caution and respect the loggers.

Trail #2 west of Watersmeet to Trail #1 south is very good.

Trail #2 east of Watersmeet to Trail #107 is very good.

Trail #13 south to the Cisco Chain is very good.

Give us a call at 906-358-4390 or cell/text 715-360-6650 if you are thinking about coming up.  We have openings each week right now and would love to help you get away from it all to enjoy some special times in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  We have some very nice and very clean homes with plenty of amenities, easy parking, and everything you need for a great get away!  We are just four miles over the Wisconsin border, and Watersmeet is the snowmobiling hub with trails heading north, south, east, and west.  We hope to see you soon!
